WHITES

One of the first pieces of furniture my mother in law owned was this side table. It sat in her living room.

It was so hard for my hubby to turn this table over to me. I had to beg and beg for 4 years. It's been in his den all that time. It really didn't look good with his furniture. Now I think it looks as special as it really is. White, and in my studio. I think I will find a beautiful doiley and a milk glass vauce with lime green gerber daisy's, to put on it.

I'm just about settled in my larger studio. This a corner that is new space. I have two large walls I can also fill with new treasures.

A puffy curtain seemed natural for this window.

A few of my favorite milk glass pieces. You can visit several other bloggs by visiting Karen's White Wednesday.

  1. Love the table! My husband had one almost identical to yours, in his old growing up bedroom. I always loved it, and finally, asked his mother if I could take it home. She gave it to me, I painted it gloss red, and it's a fantastic piece in my son's room. Best thing ever, hand me down furniture with cool lines. I love yours in white.

  2. It took me a minute to remember the table until I saw it from the top. We used to write our names in the dust until we learned that meant we had to do the dusting.

  4. What a wonderful table... and all that milk glass! I love milk glass. It used to be one of my favorite things to collect, but now I have so much, I've run out of room for it all! I also like the scrabble tiles on the candle.

Thanks also for stopping by & commenting on my blog!

  5. Thank you so much for stopping in and leaving your sweet words on Antique Hanger Petite Chandy, Cindy! Your blog is so sweet and I love your white table transformation...and your studio decor in general. I made out like a bandit at a yard sale today with a huge bag of vintage linens and things including several doilies. I'd love to send you one...I can't use them all. Just shoot me an address and it's yours. White or ivory? (I would have emailed you this but I cannot find an email for you.)

    Hugs,
    Jami

  6. Cindy I love your MIL's table. I also love that you painted it my favorite color!LOL! It looks great in your new studio, and I am sure that secretly your husband loves it too. I was so happy to get a peek into your new space. It will be wonderful for you to have a bigger space to create in. If you are like me, you need lots of room to sew. I need lots of room to even 'not sew' hehe. Just to put more and more fabric in. I think that happens when you live miles and miles away from the nearest fabric store. I always feel like I have to buy more than I really need, in case something happens and I can't get to a fabric store. Lie the end comes and I need to make something.LOL!
    hugs to uo sweet friend...

Thanks for sending along your address, too...I will send along your package tomorrow or Saturday. Absolutely no need to send anything in return. Seriously. 11. Sorry to message you here again but I do not have an email address for you. Coincidentally, I just checked the mail and your envelope says "Return to Sender, Not deliverable as addressed, Unable to forward." I double checked it with the address in the email you sent and it is the same. Anyhow, it's here if you have a different address to send it to.

    Jami
