BACK IN THE MOUNTAINS

This Post is going to be about three different important moments in my life. First, more thimbles - one from my sister in law Marcia. Marcia is serving a mission right now in Nauvo, and she had forgotten to give me this thimble from Lancaster County in Pennsilvania, the Amish Country. She must have taken it with her to Nauvo.

Second I came across a new book about Susan Boyle. I've so enjoyed reading it and I absolutely love her voice.

And Third I am with Mr Stitches here at the Homestead again, located in Heber City Utah. A beautiful Large Colonial Inn nesseled in the snowcaped mountain. We came up in a snow storm to 8" of snow on the grounds. We have a favorite cottage that we're always lucky to get.

  5. Actually, I should have been more clear about he thimble. It came from Cantril, Iowa, an amish village about an hour out of Nauvoo. We get to go there on our p-day once in a while and they have some of the best cheese you have ever eaten and their produce prices are yet to be beaten. Sorry I didn't clarify where it came from. Looks like the homestead was a lot of fun.

  14. Cindy,
I loved your comment yesterday. I am guilty also of not visiting enough. I had to read through a couple of posts I didn't see. It's only 8AM here but I'm ready to go out to dinner after seeing your VD dinner. Wow, I'm salivating on my laptop! I didn't know you collect thimbles. I have a pretty cute collection going on too. Not as cool as yours. Finally, how romantic to be cuddled into that wonderful bed in the snow covered mountains. Enjoy Cindy! Lisa
