Christmas's past hold so many memories for me. I'm going through all of my Christmas storage this year. I made these little wood ornaments about 30 years ago. I made them for my new little son. Actually he wasn't very little. He was 10lbs and 23inches long. I remember making them because that was the year I used my new band saw. I didn't even know, but I had cut up the middle of my left thumb nail. That was the first of many many many accidents with machines, scissors, pins, clamps, chemicals, and wood. Oh well, it goes with the job. You get better with practice!

About 8 years ago I decided that I wanted to do a Santa Tree. I've been collecting every year. I put this tree in my living room this year. This tree looks really good with my collection of Christmas with Southern Living books, (1996-2009).

  1. What a neat collection of magazines! And the tree with all it's memories and Santa's looks so cute too! My little 2 yr. old grandson is going around singing; "Jining them bells" over and over..guess he's got the spirit too! Come say hi :D

  2. Oh the santas from the 80's!!! Everything wooden.
Your lucky you only cut the thumb nail Cindy.

And those southern lady CHRISTMAS magazines...they hold some treasures of ideas and Christmas' past.

  3. I have too much Christmas stuff but can't bear to get rid of any of it. I'm available any day next week except Tues and Thurs. What's good for you? Mimi

  4. Your home is always so beautifully and lovingly decorated. I'm sure it is even more wonderful at Christmas! See you soon, can hardly wait!

  5. Hi Cindy,
You have the cutest collection of Santas on the tree. I love the sweet believe pillow! Did you make that? I have the same little cut out reindeer that I painted about 25 years ago too. Only my husband it the one who cut it out. lol

  6. Cindy,
I am so behind on my blogging, I've missed so much including your giveaway. Lucky girl, if she doesn't come back soon I'll take it! Your Santa tree is darling, I collect Santa too. We used to have those wooden raindeer when I was a kid. Lisa
